Gorse Cottage is situated opposite the open Forest and only
about one mile from Brockenhurst village. This lovely well presented
bungalow sleeps up to 4 people in a very comfortable environment,
as it has an air filtration system.
The accommodation provided is of a very high standard and comprising
of:-
A large Entrance/Dining Hall with a vaulted ceiling and
roof windows. It has a smoked glass table and chairs, television
video, dvd and audio system with surround sound, and a wood burning
stove for colder days.
The Sitting room is double aspect with French Windows opening
onto the front garden, with very comfortable armchairs, a comfortable
sofa, coffee tables, television and video. A payphone is also
available in this room..

This beautiful conservatory can be accessed from
the kitchen or from the bedroom via patio doors and opens
out on to the rear garden and overlooks the fields beyond.
An ideal place to relax and plan your day.
Bedroom 1 has a super king size bed
Bedroom 2 has twin beds or can be converted into
a sitting area if not required. This room also has a television.
Both bedrooms have been designed and fitted out by Strachan
the furniture makers.
Linen and Duvets are supplied.

A luxury bathroom, although small (it is for one person at a
time) is between the two bedrooms. It has a marble topped vanity
unit, Villeroy Boch basin and toilet and a Armanath/Bronte whirlpool
bath and shower
Kitchen- has a patio door leading into
the conservatory designed with white units and a full range
of facilities including
- self cleaning oven
- halogen hob unit
- dishwasher
- microwave and sandwich maker
- fridge and deep freeze in the larder
- washer/dryer

The Gardens -a block built drive leads past the front
lawn to the south facing rear garden where there is a secluded
patio with table and chairs, a lawn area, a range of buildings
and a small stable, a barbecue, and a range of barbecue tools
for open air cooking. The garden is fenced but care must be taken
that dogs do not get through to other gardens.
Gorse Cottage is an ideal location for exploring
the New Forest and the surrounding villages. With the open forest
opposite and new forest ponies, sometimes pigs and the occasional
deer at your gate, you must keep the gate closed at all times
to stop the ponies entering the garden..
Brockenhurst is now part of the New National Park with
a selection of varied shops in the village from a supermarket
to greengrocers, newsagents to bakers, restaurants and take aways
including fish and chips, and two public houses serving meals
and a new restaurant near the station. Brockenhurst also has the
mail line railway station.
There are so many pretty villages to explore, country pubs to
visit, not to mention the many attractions and museums and all
the details will be found in the cottage.
Bookings are on a weekly basis Friday to Friday and must be
made on a booking form
Short breaks are available on occasions, please enquire.
Children and dogs are welcome.
Tariff rates vary during the year from £450.00 for weekly
lets.
