A real farming experience packed with fun

For a family of any size or age looking for the best day out, the choice has to be Longdown Activity Farm. The Farm is situated near the village of Ashurst in the New Forest, half way between Southampton and Lyndhurst - follow the brown signs.

What to do

T
here is a variety of activities each day, including calf feeding, small animal handling, bottle-feeding goat kids, and more!

Farmer for a Day

C
hildren aged between 8 and 14 can try being a Farmer for a day, taking on the chores such as cleaning out the pig sties, feeding the calves, and grooming the small animals.
These days must be pre-booked and cost £30.00

Play Time


Our indoor play areas, one with a ball pool, chute, climbing frame and "squeezy tubes" are great fun.


There is also an indoor area with eight trampolines, plus our Brio playroom for younger children.

Outside are go-carts, table tennis, and a large open play area adjacent to the picnic area

Birthday Parties


Farmer Bryan will entertain birthday party guests with activities and lots of hand-on-fun for about an hour and a half. We leave the catering up to the hosts, but reserve our party room for your exclusive use.

10.30 am Bottle-feeding calves
11 am Bottle-feeding goat kids
11.30 am Large goat feeding
12 noon Small animal handling

2 pm Small animal handling
2.30 pm Meet the ducks
3 pm Bottle-feeding goat kids
3.30pm Large goat feeding
4 pm Bottle-feeding calves

Safety and Hygiene
All our animals and equipment are given regular health checks, and we have hand-washing facilities throughout the farm. PLEASE REMEMBER TO WASH YOUR HANDS
