Come
and enjoy a stay in one of the oldest houses in Beaulieu
with fantastic views upstream over the Mill Pond and downstream
over the Beaulieu River. The tidal river provides an ever
changing aspect, and occasionally rises right up into the
garden.
Harriet and John Phipps live in this comfortably furnished
family home where a warm welcome awaits you. Bedrooms, which
are offered as guest accommodation, include one with an
en suite bathroom having lovely views down the Beaulieu
River. In addition there is a double and a twin bedded room
with a shared bathroom in between the two rooms. These rooms,
which have lovely views across the Mill Pond, are ideal
for a party of four or for a family when they can be let
as a suite.
A
sitting room with comfortable chairs and sofas, and a large
open fire, can normally be made available in the evenings.
Breakfast is served in a choice of three places, either
cozily in the kitchen or in the river room or in warm weather
on the garden patio. We cater for most diets, but please
check when booking if you have special requirements
In the garden, adjacent to the patio, is the old Dairy which
was used to store milk and make butter and cream. During
the second world war this building was converted into a
pillbox to defend the bridge across the river. The house,
the dairy and the pill box are all listed buildings.
