awaits you in this quiet corner of the New Forest


The Bothy is situated at the end of a quiet country lane with no passing cars and
fantastic views across the New Forest and Open Countryside. The original part of the
house dates back over 100 years, and the cob walls can be seen in the scullery.

The accommodation that is offered to you at The Bothy is of an extremely
high standard and comprises:

Relax in the lounge in the evenings or sit in the garden on warm summer nights bring your wine or coffee or tea can be supplied

This large and comfortable lounge and dining room with French doors opening onto a spacious patio where guests can enjoy breakfast and coffee in the evening.
In addition to serving a grilled breakfast feast Sue also offers choices including:
  • Fresh kedgeree
  • Homemade waffles
  • Smoked salmon
  • Seasonal fruits with greek yoghurt


If you prefer you can have your breakfast on the patio, or even in your room. If you really want to celebrate a special event at breakfast with a pop! talk to Mark or Sue

At the end of the day relax in one of the very comfortable and well furnished bedrooms. Both rooms have hospitality trays and mineral water, television and radio
  • The pretty Blue Double Room, pictured here, has its own private balcony with table and chairs overlooking the gardens and countryside. A lovely place for breakfast, a glass or wine and reading. The room also has an en-suite bathroom with slipper bath, vanity unit and w.c
  • The second room is also a beautiful Double Room known as the Rose Room. There’s a romantic candle lit fire-screen and a log fire for cold nights. Furnished to a high standard with a tastefully decorated co-ordinating en-suite shower room, vanity unit and W.C.

  • The Champagne room has a Vualted ceiling and a window to the apex our largest room faces due west with splendid views. A modern en-suite with power shower, marble, stone and wood. Finished with touches tht are the benchmark of detail and quality

 

Within a short walk from The Bothy you have a choice of some lovely country pubs all serving a delicious range of meals. Explore the New Forest at your leisure, see the ponies and donkeys wandering through the villages. In the village at Frogham we often have special events including the large annual fair in August and a thriving programme at the village hall. For shopping, and markets the City of Salisbury and town of Ringwood is only a 20 minute drive away.

Directions on how to find us from the A31 Ringwood

Take the road north to Fordingbridge, Downton and Salisbury.
Continue along this road until the sign indicates to go off left Fordingbridge, and
take this. After about 1/4 mile you reach a T junction turn right and then turn
left to Stuckton and Frogham. Follow this road for 11/2miles.
You will pass the Three Lions restaurant, keep going the road bends to the left
and goes up to hill. After about a mile you will passthe Foresters pub.
After about 4 properties on left pass the pub you will come to a
tarmac lane and a cattle grid. Drive up the lane pass three properties
on your left and the lane ends up in our garden.
