Alderholt Mill stands on a tributary on the Hampshire Avon,
on the border of Dorset and Hampshire, two miles from Fordingbridge.
The mill is in a very picturesque setting and a working water mill
and where you can taste the delights of a cream teas, and purchase
our own stoneground flour, freshly baked bread, Delicious Ice Creams,
and locally produced honey and preserves.
A mill was recorded on this site in the Fourteenth Century and
was working regularly until 1942. The mill was fully restored in
1987 and can be seen working every weekend between Easter and October
and other times by arrangement.
