A warm welcome is assured at our home in the village of Milford on Sea close to Lymington.
Eileen and John Haywood aim to ensure that your stay is pleasant and enjoyable in their comfortable
guest accommodation.
There is ample secure off street parking for up to four cars in our spacious drive.

Breakfast is served at 8.30 and 9 a.m. Our speciality is a traditional full English Breakfast of four courses with home made bread and preserves We can cater for Vegetarians and a Continental breakfast can also be provided.

Bedrooms, all of which overlook the garden, are thoughtfully decorated for your comfort. complete with
colour television,radio/clock, hairdryer, robes for bathroom, towels and toiletries, tea and coffee making facilities
and thoughtful extras.

Alma Mater is set in a residential area of character and quiet location. It has a third of an acre of secluded garden complete with willow tree, fish pond, mature trees and shrubs with borders of flowers

The village of Milford on Sea is within walking distance and also the beach and sea.
The village has a selection of French, Italian and English restaurants together with three
Public Houses all serving excellent food. The fish and chip shop can also be recommended

Milford on Sea is a unique seaside village in Hampshire which has magnificent views of Christchurch Bay, Isle of Wight
and the Needles at the entrance to the Solent. You can walk along the stoney beach to Hurst Castle and there
is also a ferry which can take walking passengers to Yarmouth on the Isle of Wight. For ramblers and walkers there is a
cliff top walk to Barton on Sea and Christchurch. A short drive will take you to the many attractions in the New Forest.

For the comfort of our guests we are a non-smoking establishment and cannot cater for children
under 14 years of age

Directions to Alma Mater

From Lymington on A337 bear left on B3058 to Milford on Sea.
Pass the South Lawn Hotel and Pedestrian Crossing and take next right into Manor Road.
First left into Knowland Drive and Alma Mater is third bungalow on the right with A.A sign on gatepost.
