Grandmas Retreat is adjacent to Our Bench the owners home and situated in the small village of Pennington. Close to the New Forest, the Yachting Town of Lymington with its Saturday Market, marinas and Yacht Haven. The lovely Quay Hill leading down to the river front is full of unusual shops and boutiques. It is an ideal area for exploring either by car or bike , bring your own or hire one of ours, but you do need some form of transport to see the Forest and Coast line

When driving on New Forest Roads you must remember the Ponies and other Forest animals have the right away and there are speed restrictions, and it is an offence to feed the ponies.

to Find,
Our Bench
From Lyndhurst take the A337 to Lymington, Approaching Lymington, under the railway arch and continue straight across mini-roundabouts.
Continue straight on through the traffic lights and on passing a Pelican crossing bear right (signed New Milton , Christchurch and Milford-on-Sea). Keeping on this road, go straight across another mini-roundabout with a large garage on your left.
Take the 2nd turning on the right by a parade of shops (South Street) continue for about half a mile the road becomes Ramley Road and you will see a church on your left (St. Marks)
Take
the 2nd turning on the right pass the Church, opposite the common (Lodge Road).
The street sign for Lodge Road cannot be seen until you turn into the road.
Our Bench will be found just on the left.
