Bench
Cottage is a semi-detached bungalow providing self-catering holiday
accommodation for up to
four people in the grounds of the award winning Guest House 'Our
Bench' situated in the quiet village of Pennington
. It is 2 miles from the open New Forest and a 20 minute walk or
5 minutes by car to the centre of Lymington.

Cottage offers you the following accommodation, decorated and furnished
to a very high standard and completely
wheelchair friendly (The first in the New Forest), with open-plan
lounge/diner and kitchen area making easy access for everyone.

The fully equipped
modern designed kitchen has split level work surfaces, and
include electric oven, gas hob,dishwasher, washer/dryer,
toaster, microwave, iron and ironing board. All kitchen
utensils, saucepans, china and cutlery are supplied and
lots of little extras, in fact everything you are likely
to need to make your stay relaxing and enjoyable.

| The lounge and dining
area have comfortable seating,including an electric riser/recliner
chair, a colour teletext television and video, CD player with
radio and cassette. A selection of books and information on
the New Forest including a video for you to enjoy. A gate leg
table and four dining chairs make this a lovely room to relax
in at the end of the day. There are a selection of books a few
videos on of the New Forest and a selection of leaflets to help
plan your day. |

Equipment is only
placed in the cottage if required. |
The
master bedroom has electric foot and head riser beds which
are independently operated and can be a 6 foot double bed,
or twins with access all round. Bedside units and lights,
radio alarm clock and wardrobe, for a perfect nights sleep,
again decorated to a high standard.
A list of accessible equipment available including electric
portable hoist, wheel-in shower chair, wheelchair at no extra
charge.

The fully accessible
modern shower room, situated between the two bedrooms, has
floor level shower, (wheelin shower chari available if required)
an adjustable height wash hand basin. The toilet is accessible
from either side with drop down hand rails if required.

The second smaller
bedroom makes a lovely single room or it can be a twin as
shown here. Access to the beds is from the centre of the room
with a bedside cabinet, wardrobe, radio alarm clock and bedside
light.(If booking as a single room the second bed is removed
to give more access).
All beds will be made up with lovely fresh linen, duvets and
pillows before your arrival. If staying more than a week,
fresh linen will be supplied and if you would like us to,
we will change the beds for you at no extra charge. Extra
blankets are available on request.
